Jennifer Lopez faces probe by Moroccan PM after Muslim outrage over sexy show .

POP diva Jennifer Lopez has been in hot water with Moroccan officials following a "sexually suggestive" performance in the country last month.

Performing during the Mawazine International Music Festival in Rabat, the 45-year-old singer was criticised by local media for her "suggestive poses" and for being "scantily" dressed following her set.

Now the hitmaker has become the subject of an investigation ordered by the Prime Minister of Morocco, Abdelilah Benkirane.

Abdelilah called for a probe after an educational body in the North African nation is reportedly suing the Booty singer.

Jennifer, who sang in front of 160,000 people, was transmitted with a short delay on the 2M television network to two million viewers.

The Prime Minister blasted the broadcast of the concert as a "serious delinquency" that contradicted the country's moral and religious values, and said the "sexually suggestive" performance was in violation of the country's audiovisual law.

He claims that officials at the network "failed to intervene and stop the broadcast of the disgraceful scenes" and he's now called for the High Authority of Audiovisual Communication to "take legal action against those responsible".

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the educational group behind the lawsuit accused JLo of "tarnishing women's honour and respect" with a performance that "disturbed public order".

In typical Jenny From The Block style, the songstress' gig featured flesh-flashing outfits and sexy dance moves.

The furore has led to calls for the minister of communication, Mustapha Khalfi, to resign after he allowed the American Idol judge's antics to be broadcast on public television, the BBC stated.

Writing on Twitter, Mustapha Khalfi said he planned to contact the broadcaster's ethics committee to discuss what had happened.

"What was broadcast is unacceptable and goes against broadcasting law," he said.

Meanwhile another official from the Justice and Development Party, Abdessamad Al-Idrissi, took to his Facebook page to brand the festival "shameful", Fox News added.
